Swalings — a local, national and international success story

From our base on the UK’s south coast, our family run business has grown to have over 20,000 satisfied customers — young and old — around the world. They live as far afield as North America and Asia to the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and the Falkland Islands.

Our unique swimming teaching methodology has been 35 years in the making. It combines the promotion of water safety and the natural and healthy alignment of the body in the water, with a fun, caring and interactive attitude.

Swalings has had a sport school in Antigua since 2003. It was the first international swim school to be awarded the prestigious STAmark with Distinction and is the only group of swim tutors (ie. able to teach others to teach) in the Caribbean. The school also now offers expert tuition in a wide range of sports, plus many support services.

From absolute beginners to advanced swimmers, our courses offer something for everyone/can enhance everyone’s abilities.

Our Aims and Objectives

Our key objective is to give people confidence in and around water, while providing the skills required to enable them to fully enjoy themselves in the water.

We’ll teach swimming to our own exacting standards, as well as to the levels set by the Swimming Teacher’s Association and Amateur Swimming Association.

We’ll utilise a varied and progressive program in which lessons suit an individual’s abilities at every stage, from being a non-swimmer to becoming a fully qualified swimming teacher.

Awards, Accreditations and Accolades

Caroline was one of the finalists for the prestigious European Women of Achievement Awards for her contribution to swimming.
Caroline has also successfully achieved the prestigious Swimtastic Award from the Amateur Swimming Association for ‘Outstanding recognition for Swimming.’
Swalings was the first Multi Sited Swimming School in the South West to be Awarded STAmark with Distinction.
Swalings was the first International Swimming School based in Antigua to be Awarded the STAmark with Distinction.
