Children have been banned from wearing swimming goggles for health and safety reasons at a pool. Reasons for this were many, from children bumping into each other to the goggles snapping back. All our swimming lessons for children and adults we strongly advise the wearing of correctly fitting goggles this encourages confidence in the water by putting the face in and allowing the eyes to stay open so that the swimmer can see.

You strongly advise goggles, but do you pick up any insurance claims against your staff if someone damages their eyes through wearing goggles, or do you accept no responsibility. The non-use of goggles is for curriculum school swimming( unless pupils have an medical or intolerance to the water.
